What Are Neuromodulators?

Injectable neuromodulators, often called anti-wrinkle injections or anti-aging injections, are products composed of botulinum toxin type A and are used to active wrinkles. Repeated muscle movements over time (such as forming facial expressions and performing actions like chewing) lead to wrinkles being formed. Neuromodulators relax the muscles, limiting their movement and softening the wrinkles.

Botox® and Dysport® are the two most popular options for neuromodulators, and we also carry several other options. Choosing a brand is often a matter of personal preference, and they all create the same result: a decrease in visible fine lines and wrinkles in 7 to 14 days.

These products are most effective on surface wrinkles and cannot be used to treat deep wrinkles effectively. For treatment of deep wrinkles, dermal fillers are typically a better choice.

Redefine Your Appearance With Botox®

As one of most popular cosmetic injectables available today, Botox® has helped many people achieve a more youthful look they can carry with confidence. It can effectively reverse the hands of time by helping you eliminate unsightly wrinkles and fine lines without the need for highly invasive surgical or skin resurfacing techniques.

Botox® can be customized to address a patient’s unique needs. Common treatment areas include the forehead, brow, around the eyes, cheeks, and the area around the mouth. It can help address crow’s feet, brow furrows, smile lines, and forehead wrinkles.

A Botox® treatment can be performed in as little as 15 minutes and patients can safely return to their normal daily activities immediately after.

What Are Dermal Fillers?

Dermal fillers are products composed of synthetic versions of substances found naturally in the human body. These substances include hyaluronic acid, calcium hydroxylapatite, and poly-L-lactic acid.

Fillers are used to create volume in, or “build up,” areas. They can be used to treat thin lips, sunken cheeks, or a non-existent jawline. Fillers are injected directly into the target area, naturally filling in moderate and harsh wrinkles and folds. Many such as Radiesse, stimulate creation of new collagen and elastin protein, restoring skin health.

Restore Volume With Dermal Filler

Injecting dermal filler is a minimally invasive treatment to add volume to the targeted area. Unlike Botox®, dermal filler works to restore volume in the treatment area rather than relax the muscles. The results provided by Juvederm products are long-lasting and provide results that delay the appearance of aging over the course of time.

After an Injectable Treatment

Following a treatment session, patients will be able to return to their normal daily activities without any need for downtime or recovery time. This makes injectable treatments extremely convenient, especially in comparison to surgical services, which often require weeks or even months of healing.

A small degree of temporary swelling, bruising, or redness may be present at the treatment sites. Avoid scratching or rubbing the treated areas and do not apply any heat.

The effects of your injectable treatment may either be seen immediately or over time. Most dermal fillers provide immediate results, whereas neuromodulator results typically start to appear in a few days.

Injectables are not permanent, and the effects can last anywhere from three months to two years or sometimes even longer. Duration of results depends on factors like the specific product chosen and the patient’s unique physiology. Touch-ups and maintenance treatments are usually available.

How Much Do Injectable Treatments Cost?

Injectable treatments vary in cost depending on the type of injectable used, the amount used, and the area(s) treated. Our specialized clinicial will perform an assessment of your areas of concern to customize a treatment plan that will address your unique cosmetic needs and discuss the associated cost during your consultation.

I am very happy with the results: the effect is smooth and natural. This treatment has given me back a healthy look, especially under the eyes and around the mouth area, and I sincerely believe that my face looks full of energy and I look younger.

– Tamsen Abbie

Love Dysport®! It last two months longer for me than Botox®, and also gives me a little lift which I love. I get it between my eyebrows, all around my eyes, and all over my forehead. Love the results, zero side effects.

– Esmé Christie

Frequently Asked Questions

Why Are Injectables Called “Lunchtime Services”?

Injectables are called “lunchtime services” because they can be quickly and efficiently performed during a person’s lunch break. Patients can return to their workday without the need for downtime or healing, and days off are not required.

What’s The Difference Between Neuromodulators And Fillers?

Neuromodulators relax muscles to resolve fine wrinkles, whereas fillers restore skin volume to address moderate and harsh wrinkles and hollow regions. Filler results also last longer than the results of neuromodulators.

What Do I Do If I’m Unhappy With My Treatment Results?

Touch-ups can be performed to adjust/improve results in cases where patients are unhappy. In the case of hyaluronic-acid-based dermal fillers like Juvederm and Restylane, results can be reversed with the help of a simple hyaluronidase injection.

Can I Come Back For Maintenance Treatments?

In most cases, once the results of an injectable treatment start to fade, patients can come back in for maintenance treatments to preserve their new appearance.
